Good news for golf lovers: Tiger Woods is highlighting a major new resort project on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.
The new Jack’s Bay project is the brainchild of Jack’s Bay Developers, Beacon Land Development and Woods’ TGR Design. It will include the Caribbean’s first Tiger Woods-designed course, along with a residential resort and a private club.
The property, located on Rock Sound in Eleuthera, has already begun development on features including The Pink House, Pink Sand Bar and The Playgrounds, a 10-hole short course designed by Woods.
The project will ultimately feature a residential resort including oceanfront suites, cottages and villas.
The master plan includes a beach club, founder’s lots, 42 one-bedroom suites adjacent to eh beach club, 53 cottages with either ocean or golf views, a golf practice facility and performance center, and a community park, among other features.
“I am honored to be part of this spectacular project in paradise,” Woods said in a statement. “The amazing convergence of land and sea calls for an equally unique and incredible golf experience that TGR Design can deliver. The golf course complements this luxury resort destination because it’s designed for golfers to have fun, while still being challenged. The biggest challenge might be to remain undistracted by the phenomenal views!”
“Bringing Beacon and Tiger to this residential resort opportunity in the Bahamas is nothing short of remarkable. Uniting the rich Bahamian cultural heritage and Eleuthera’s unmatched beauty, with the luxury assured by Beacon and Tiger, makes this exceptionally unique,” Wilson said.
There are also plans for Woods to design a full 18-hole course at the property.
